Unfairly attacked and considered incompatible with ecology and sustainable development, PVC and its manufacture have been the subject of numerous adjustments and European directives to improve its recycling and limit its impact on the environment. This makes PVC, according to experts, a key material for complying with the Kyoto Protocol.
PVC is maintenance-free
Its useful life is an average of 50 years, classified as a “long life” material within the construction industry according to ISO 14000.
As for CO2 emissions, in a study conducted by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), PVC profiles reduce CO2 emissions to the atmosphere by 161% compared to other materials.
